Stylists will create fashion-forward creations from donated items to the Gayrage Sale the week before the fashion show. Models will showcase these on the catwalk at the fashion show. You may even be able to purchase these stylist-curated outfits!
Purchasing a $10 ticket to the Fashion Show grants you exclusive and early access to the Gayrage Sale on Friday night after the fashion show.
This event is an initiative of one of our Board Members, Danny Tovar, who dreamed of this Gayrage Sale inspired fashion show of thrifted fashion and curated styles, TOO GAY TO THROW AWAY! Creativity abounds! May this become a new annual event highlighting queer stylists and fashionistas!

Each year MS Capital City Pride's Gayrage Sale gets a little bigger and a little wilder!
Gayrage Sale 2026 will be at the Arts Center of Mississippi on Saturday, April 11!
Community members around the Jackson metro bond together as they Spring clean attics, garages, and closets for a good cause. Donations are brought to local businesses and then gathered by the Pride Team to the Gayrage Sale venue. Volunteers organize the donations into categories and price items for the big Gayrage Sale day! Customers shop to their heart's content and know that their dollars are going to a good cause.
Donors of the Gayrage Sale is not limited to donations of eclectic and funky items! Donations can also include drinks and snacks for volunteers, tables to showcase the sale, and even venue space fees, or a financial donation! Donors can contribute time as working volunteers to sort clothes and housewares, too!

The Gayrage Sale was on Saturday, June 14, 2025, right after the Rainbow Run 5k, and in the fellowship hall of Broadmeadow United Methodist Church! This fundraising event brought in almost $3,000! We had over 180 purchases via cash or card, and saw hundreds of friendly faces shopping eclectic and funky fun donations. Anything not sold was donated to the Good Samaritan Center! Gayrage Sale proceeds were utilized for the 2025 It's Pride Y'all Festival expenses.
A great big thank you to the folks at our drop-off locations: Holland & Williams Home, Green Heart Wellness, The End of All Music, and Shade Pub & Nightclub. And we would not have been a success without the generous help of volunteers helping sort, arrange, and price everything! Thank you so much!
Donor support of the Gayrage Sale in 2024 provided drop-off locations, marketing expenses, and U-haul rental for donation transport to sale site. Leftover Gayrage Sale donations were donated to the Good Samaritan Center! Gayrage Sale 2024 had 4 drop-off locations, 30+ donations, with 105 customers on Friday and 207 customers on Saturday. Total fundraised was $4,206! These proceeds were used for It's Pride Y'all Festival 2024 expenses such as venue rental, security, stage, lighting and sound expenses, and festival merchandise.
