Introducing the 2026 Pride + Power Summit!

MS Capital City Pride is developing a one-day, nonpartisan conference focused on LGBTQIA+ voting rights, election education, and civic participation in Mississippi. The conference is designed to provide practical, accessible information that helps attendees better understand the voting process, navigate barriers to participation, and engage more confidently with local, state, and federal government systems. Through educational sessions, community-based exhibitors, and resource-sharing, the event will connect attendees with both information and tangible support.

Goal: Provide practical information to navigate voting barriers and increase civic confidence.
Format: Combine educational sessions, community exhibitors, and critical resource sharing.
Scope: Cover engagement with local, state, and federal government systems.
Nature: Developed by MS Capital City Pride as a one-day, nonpartisan event.

Empowering Voters

Target: LGBTQIA+ Mississippians, allies, community advocates, and first-time or infrequent voters.
Core: Teaching how public systems work and how to participate effectively.
Barriers: Mitigating identity-document issues, housing instability, healthcare access, and mental health needs.
Gaps: Resolving the lack of clear information regarding elections and local government.
Primary: Creating an affirming space to equip attendees for voting and public advocacy.
